Yarrow is an ubiquitous medicinal herb, rich in medicinal virtues, with a long tradition of use. It is an astringent, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory herb that can have beneficial action on mucus membranes of the respiratory, digestive and urinary tract. It is a hemostatic and can be used to alleviate bleeding from nosebleed, hemorrhoids and ulcers. Yarrow can also assist menstrual problems, reducing heavy bleeding, relieving pelvic stagnation and menstrual cramping. As a anti-microbial herb, it can be taken for the first stages of cold, flu and cystitis. Yarrow also has diaphoretic properties. The tincture can be consumed in hot water to reduce fever.
